Devlog Update - Story

Hello everyone,

For today’s update we thought on giving you a small introduction to the game’s story because as much as the game is action based and built around skill and good reflexes, there is a story behind all that fighting. And this part is the prelude to the game’s story.

Within the realm of the Gods, the deities in charge of a small blue planet called Azuran were discussing an important matter regarding the fate of their world.

“We shouldn't have made that thing...” said Sover as he flipped a coin in the air.

This handsome man wearing a fine golden tunic was the God of Prosperity.

“It's not the Amulet at fault but that unscrupulous Magrath!” Ostros, the God of War, said as he slammed his fist on the table, making all of their chalices fly up in the air.

His rage was visible from his red aura, and any mortal would have trembled in fear at its touch. The gods, however, were unaffected by it.

“Careful now!” Drukandra grumbled as he grabbed his chalice before it fell on the table and spilled the delicious nectar within it.

“Hm, now that I think about it, what happened to those adventurers I sent to capture him?” asked Rayurna, the Goddess of Light.

“Adventurers?” Drukandra asked raising an eyebrow.

“Yes, a group of thirty fellows. They were strong and wielded countless achievements in the Adventurer Guild.” she said with an ephemeral smile.

“Ah! Those fellows? I think four of them were corrupted by Magrath's power, two were turned into undead walking skeletons, several of them became parts of his traps, the rest were used by the goblins as target practice.” Drukandra replied with an indifferent shrug.

“Skeletons and Goblins? Those weak things?” Azuran, the God of Earth and Nature asked with big eyes.

Everyone in the world of Azuran knew that if there was a monster anyone could defeat, that was the clumsy Goblin shortly followed by the slow moving Skeleton.

“Magrath turned those weaklings into overpowered monstrosities. Some of them can easily kill even the most experienced warrior!” the God of the Dead laughed.

“What's so funny?” Ostros asked with a piercing gaze.

“I just thought, wouldn't it be funny to send some poor soul to take care of this for us?” a mischievous grin appeared on his lips.

“Magrath can corrupt armies and turn the most powerful adventurers into minced-meat. He can warp reality itself, although in a very limited way, but still enough to help him turn the area around him into a living nightmare. What sort of individual could possibly be powerful enough to survive those insane twisted dungeons of his?!” Ostros shouted at Drukandra.

“Simple.” he smirked “A poor soul who cannot die. Someone I'll resurrect time and time again for as long as he wills to complete for us the Amulet of Valur and then with it seal Magrath himself!” Drukandra leaned back on his chair and then took a sip from his chalice. At that moment, all of the gods in the room felt a chill running down their spine, and in their hearts, they pitied the poor fool who would catch this God's interest for this insane quest.

And to show Drukandra always makes good on a promise, death and resurrect, one of many :) And everything comes with a price.
